It has been a looong time coming...

NO CLOUDS IN MELBOURNE

Scope has been cooling for 3 hours, nice clear sky, moon about to set And there's a bit of wind keeping that darned dew at bay so it's all play and no work tonight

Get out there Melbournians and soak up the pleasure!

Hey I'm happy for you but I have one question,
"Why did you send the clouds over here tonight?"

Anyway my weather aside enjoy your night you deserve it

Hadn't seen you post for a while I thought you had sold up and moved to Florida

Oh well one nights clear skies should keep you going for another 3 months.

Yep, fiddled with my C8 tonight for a while. Also shot off a roll of film - widefields. I said I'd never use film again, but Scorpius was beckoning and will have vanished before I can get a DSLR. Lovely night out. Sky clear, seeing looked fairly good.

Absolute filth up here but I don't care. The Rotowound Tru Bass 88 strings arrived today. The old plunker sounds like gold and has a low fast silky action. A bit of talent, knowledge, practice and persistence and noise pollution could become music. Don't hold your breath.

Oh yes I did. Melbourne turned on its usual seeing, but the success of the night, right from collimation to the mirrors staying dew free had me believing I was dreaming, not in Melbourne climate reality. It's like everything went like clockwork!

We got your weather up here in not-so-sunny Queensland at the moment poring down with rain. Went to Toowoomba yesterday for the Ag Show and bought a nice set of 20X50 Binoculars at show prices, cheap that is. On the way back home (4 hour trip) looked like we had clear skies coming from the west and then it poured and asnt stopped since.
Knew I should have bought the lamb as well.

Was average here last night, but the clouds had rolled in by this morning. U/S tonight, mirrors for the 10 inch must be close to delivery

Glad you had a great night SAB, that should settle the frayed nerve endings for a little bit.

Cheers
