Anyone in Newcastle/Lake Mac/Maitland have a PST I can borrow for this saturday 6 Sep

My daughter really put me in it - her Guide troop are having a trash and treasure sale on this Saturday from 7am until 1pm. She dobbed me in to go and set up a stall showing the sun. I did this two years ago when I still had my PST and used the Intes M500 with a white light filter and raised 130 dollars (1 dollar per look). My double stack 60mm Lunt is still in being made in the US (now you think bintel would expedite the delivery wouldn’t you )

So I will be using my C8 I still have and a white light solar filter - but a bland solar surface with no sun spots isn’t very exciting and I would have to ay people to look at that!! So I am asking does anyone have a PST I can borrow for the morning, it will be looked after very well, I guarantee it!!! Please PM me

Sorry mate , if I had one I would come over and help out , but I've never had a PST.

Try Bintel or AstroOptics , they might lend you one , if you explain why you need it ... it's a good cause afterall , and if any of the kids get interested in telescopes and astronomy , they will gain from it.

They might even attend in person and bring some other gear with them.
