I didn't think about it until this thread.

Guide 7/8 -field maps
MaximDL3 -capture/guideing/focus/blink/process images
Astrometrica -Asteroid search & astrometry
Paint -convert to .jpeg
Jasc Animation -Asteroid animation
Meade Autostar suite -operate 200mm finder camera
Vspec -spectral analysis
Astromist -star maps on iPAQ
Argonavis -pointing

Seems a lot but they all get a workout depending what my fancy is at the time.

I am very much a beginner at this having bought my first telescope at Christmas last year. A Vixen VC200L on a Sphinx SXD Equatorial mount. I have been using my Nikon D200 for my first attempts at photography with the setup, I'm now looking for some planning software to try and be more organised about my observing.

Can anyone give me some recommendations for software they'd tried and found useful? Particularly has anyone used "redshift"? Or the planning software that works in conjunction with it by the company called "Knightsbridge"?

Cheers,

Actually the company is not Knightsbridge but knightware and they make Deep Sky Planner 4, sorry about that... Please let me know what you use regardless, thanks.
