M42 again

After I finally got the new wedge aligned, well sort of I took this series of shots.

7 x 2mins
ISO 800
stacked in registax
processed in Photo shop
apply true unsharp mask
mild noise reduction in Noiseware

Pretty happy with the shot, no appreciable drift of guide star for at least 4 minutes. Now need to get it to 10 minutes if I can. Need to do some balancing to scope with a 2 D balance design.
Anyway what do you think?

BTW these shots were all unguided.

Paul,
if that's two minutes unguided, then things are pretty good. Next time out shoot a few more, and also try your luck at say 3 minutes exposures.
Keep at it, and send some of that weather across.

I think Graeme's looks a tad too overprocessed.. I don't like the black surrounding the stars. it's evident in Pauls' as well but not as much so.
