NEW Orion Truss 12" with C.O.L.

Quite a few astronomers like the Orion solid tube scopes with C.O.L. the imager locater developed by Orion and fitted as std to their scopes.
The main draw back has been the size and weight of the solid tube (especially the 12")
Now.......Orion are about to release (Nov 08) a Truss setup of their popular scope.
Unlike the LB it has a 4x2 truss setup, the lightbridge and others has 3x2.
This could mean a more rigid setup and an easier way to install a shroud.
Prices are only a little dearer than the competion without an object locater.

Cheers, John.

John, I wouldn't bet on the pricing here in Australia being "only a little dearer than the competition" - Orion scopes are massively overpriced here, but quite reasonable in the US

Interesting development though..only the 12" or maybe a 16" coming soon?
