Do you hug your telescope?

After exactly one week away from my telescope whilst on business, i was very happy to see her. ( oh yes and the wife and kids! )

That is not to say i missed her, as i was spending a lot of time (as einstein coined) with "thought experiments". How do i motorize?, need to collimate, better clean up the cellar where she lives.

Spent a good hour in jaycar (yes there is one in hobart) buying some wire, switches, a small vice, 12V 7amp battery, battery connectors. will steal a battery charger from work.

Once finished cleaning the cellar, I had a look at the screws at the bottom of the tube so i can get a feel for the primary mirror collimation. Had another go with the cheshire and the secondary mirror.

Really keen to have the motorizing up and running by the star camp at end of october in snake valley.

It will be good to see your motorising at the Camp Dave. And your other mods!

I have to hug mine when I get to the "DOB HOLE" near the zenith....its the easiest way to make accurate movements on a step ladder!

If i gave my scope a hug, and you stood behind me, it would look like i am hugging myself as my scope is pretty small.

Oh, and my wife would look at me, shake her head and say, "you are so sick".
