Nice solar activity today

Things have been pretty quiet recently but there is some nice prominence activity out there this morning - one letter 'S' and one atomic bomb. Wouldn't mind seeing some images if anyone takes any.

Its the biggest prominence I can recall seeing with my PST (at 12 o clock) Its truly a sight to see

if you have a H alpha solar telescope, get out NOW and check it out

yes and if anyone can get an image it would be great

I am about to get clouded out

just had another look and you're right that second prom is a real beauty too

My PST has a real "sweet spot" and unless I am careful to go around the rim I can sometimes miss stuff

My pst is similar and prominences can be visible or not depending on where they are in the field.

I have seen much larger prominences and loops but not for a while. Can't wait for our star to get angry again - but not too angry .

All I have is some solar film so I have to wait for the sun spots to start appearing again.
