M8 redo, no stars

On Jases recommendation, a slight adjustment.

Stars are annoying, they just get in the way .

LOL, thanks Narayan, sigh, stars are sooo hard to preserve naturally, I thought maybe in this case, cloud structure was the focus, so out went the tricky little bright spots, but I get your drift.

Amen!

Been back a few times to the original image. Nothing short of remarkable. The delicate folds and structure of nebulosity is inspiring. Similar to the comments in the previous post, this image captures the imagination and draws the viewer in. Excellent.

Either way Fred, it's a ripper and as Jase said it draws you in.

Cheers.

It'll be that way one day!

The whole 3-D appearance is flippin' mesmerizing. I had to call my co worker over to see this. Just beautiful!

Wow Fred, haven't seen that much detail in any M8 image before. The core " as I concider it " is always hard to capture without burnout .... I do like stars though. I haven't been online for a while and haven't seen your earlier version with stars yet ... will check it out.

A really stunning result Fred. Looks like its a Hubble shot with so much detail. Gee amatuer imaging has come a long way in such a short time. There would be no comparable image of M8 in the archives of these large observatories until recent times.

I'd submit this to the Nasa APOD site.

Greg.
