2nd July

All taken with the Gstar Ex video camera.
The Lagoon - 393 frames
Eagle Neb - 400 frames
Helix - 375 frames
I stacked twice as many this time with a quite an improvement on the final image. But I only used 100 darks. I think that was a mistake. Using 200 may have been a better bet.
Next time I'll knock the gain down a bit and see if I can get those stars rounder.
I used PaintShopPro for post processing.
Oh, and I put the Lagoon and Eagle through Neat Image to smooth them out a bit. Did I go too far with the sharpening and noise reduction?

Not bad Jeanette. Try to remove the dark rings around the stars...go here, it's Steve Quirk's site and his method for doing it....

http://my.hwy.com.au/~sjquirk/images/ps-tips/ring-removal.html

and also from this site a few tips on using the camera and processing pictures...

Hope that helps
