Magical sunset

The other night I noticed that despite the fact that the sun was down, my back yard seemed surprisingly well lit, and from the east away from the sunset! I went out to see what was happening and it turns out the sun was illuminating these beautiful clouds in my front yard that were reflecting back onto my house.

They had this amazing texture to them that my mom even remarked they looked like paintbrush strokes. Here's a picture I got of it. Tell me what you think. The pictures don't begin to do justice to the real thing, but this should give you some idea...

You can kind of get a sense for how dark the sky was from the top left corner of this picture. That's why I was so confused when I looked outside

Lovely sunset and unusual cloud patterns. I know what you mean about photos not doing justice to the reality it must have been quite a sight.

Nice image, it looks somewhat surreal. I have never seen clouds patterns look like that before. It must have been an amazing sight.

This is the only time I will excuse clouds for actually doing something good for once.
