DGM filters group buy?

Hi All

I'm planning to get myself a 2" NPB filter from DGM (Omega Astro Filters), and was wondering if anyone was interested in a group buy. Unless we get heaps of interest, I'm not conviced the price of the filters would come down, but we could save a bit on postage.

Have a look at their filters and post here if you are interested.

I'm happy to coordinate a group buy, unless there are several people interested all from one spot (eg Melbourne or Sydney). If that's the case, it would save people more on postage if we could minimise the on-shipping once the filters reach Australia.

Shipping is listed as "$21.75 to most locations outside of the United States," but I don't know how many filters that would cover.

At the moment, their online store seems to be showing most things (including all NPB filters) as out of stock, so I've sent them an email asking what the status is.

Well I don't need any filters just right now, but that is a excellent idea, and I'm sure this could work with other certain items as well, great idea.

Like many others on this forum I already have one of these excellent filters - mine happens to be a 1.25" version, but I would like very much to get a 2" as well.

Unfortunately the timing (ie finances) isn't good for me at present. Consider me as a solid 'maybe', depending on when or if this gets off the ground.

Well we have to see when they'll re-stock first, so if it happens, it could be a little while anyway.

There are some well written (in my opinion) comments on Cloudy Nights about all of their filters. I have both the NPB and the OIII from DGM Optics (Omega)...I think highly of them.

Thanks Scott,

I also have the NPB and think it's very good. I am very tempted to try their OIII as well now.

Hi,

I was just looking at the DGM Galaxy filter. Has anyone had any experience with such a filter? I didn't think there was such a thing?

Pending feedback, could be on-board.

I might be interested too. I have the 2" Baader Moon & Skyglow already though. Anyone know how similar to this the nbp is likely to be ? Otherwise I could go for one of the others.

Nope.

I got impatient and bought an Orion Ultrablock, but I'm still willing to do this if ever they restock and a few people want some filters. I'll post here if I ever find out whether there's stock.
