Discovery announcements from the AAS meeting in the USA

Hello folks,

Just another update. The American Astronomical Society is holding a major science meeting this week, and there are lots of interesting stories coming out of it -- colliding galaxies, tiny planets, big black holes . . . you name it, it's out there.
