Lagoon/Triffid area, 300mm lens Ha and colour

I took this a while ago but reprocessed i to see if I could get some more detail out
Its 5x10 mins ISO400, with Baader UHC-S filter, with the red channel replaced by a 4x10 minute image with 7Nm Baader Ha filter
Taken with the mighty 300mm f2.8 flourite lens from Bert, and modded 350D camera. (A modded 450D would rock with this lens)

great image! is it just the resized version or is the bright core of the nebulosity clipped slightly?

I cant imagine the possibilities of that lens with a modded camera... must be magnificent...

I just cant wait to give my 170-500 f/5-6.3 a go once I get a mount!

Very creative.
You've made the heavens look almost infernal!!
Great shot - very sharp indeed, That lens is a stunner.
It certainly gulps in the light - is it 100mm in Diam?

Whoa!...sinister.
You mention colour Scott, but all I can see is red and a tad of blue around M20. I think I enjoy a more "saintly" version by boosting the green and blue channels.

Split Endz said it best "I see Red, I see Red, i see Red".

Apart from that looks outstanding.
