Talking First Sighting of the ISS Today ?

gday all

came home from getting the newspaper at about 0620 am

and had a look up and saw a steadily moving doohickey

was no aircraft

came from the north and went to the east

had a look on heavensabove

and it said it was possibly the ISS

really cool firt time for me

Its always pretty cool to see the ISS! Great buzz first time though isn't it?

It's a great sight alright, I just love the way it whistles along against the starry backdrop.

I also admire those who capture images as well, a lot of planning and dedication go into those images.

It is always exciting to watch the ISS track across the sky, I tend to give sightings reports to relatives/friends, they all go "oh yeah boring".Then when they actually see it they think it's wonderful, my brother and his young children dragged the neighbours out one night, like a street party!
The sighting this morning at 0535 was fantastic, 5 minutes, then when it was at it's highest there was the flash of absolute brilliant light, almost like an explosion (yes I know catching, at that moment the early morning sunlight!)
Another 5 minutes tomorrow morning!
