Lagoon Nebula

This is the second of my targets from the 18th May .... same session as M20 defrosted posted previously. Guiding wasn't quite as good on this object .... I did recallibrate before the M20 series of images and got better results.

Anyway hope you like it !

only 7x300sec subs .... 35 minutes total .... same gear setup as M20 defrosted

Thanks Mike, it makes all the frustration of the past year or so seem worth it. Still a long way to go yet though. When the moon wanes enough I would like to do at least 1-1.5 hours on M8 to smooth it out. Then the same with m16 etc etc etc etc ........... HELIX is looming in a month or so it's rising too late at the moment !

Cheers

Looking good Steve. Its rewarding when everything comes together. You've certainly stepped your images up a notch of late. Keep at it.

Thanks Jase, it is nice to start getting images that are heading towards what I expected to be able to produce with the SBIG. It takes time to come to grips with new things. Thanks for the encouragement.

Cheers Ric, hopefully I'll get some more data on m8 in the future ..... doubtful I'll get any tonight with full moon and then starting tomorrow we have showers etc forecast 'till Monday of next week at this stage ... so it could be a while. Never mind ay ... I'll have to do some music composition instead to keep me busy.
