This is an altered Moon image, but i think that it gives a more 3d dimension around the shadows and lines on the surface, and if not at least i had fun doing it!

It's an interesting effect, that's for sure.

It's always good to practise in image editing tools.

I used the bump map effect and then lowered the brightness, contrast, and gamma effects to get this. I personally think that some of the images you guys have taken would be completely awesome if altered and played with in this way...... Imagine using negative image and colour altering effects on top of this..... the sky's the limit for all of us frustrated artists who can't paint! I have done this with a lot of astro images (not my own) and the effects are simply amazing! But in saying that capturing and composing a wonderful image is the aim of the game, and changing the image is in comparison so easy. I'll post some more stuff soon so let me know what you guys think.
