Moon 19/4/08

Hi everyone.
I had a play with registax after downloading it and came up with this result from an image taken a Month ago.

It will take a while to get used to the programme, but it looks to be worth the learning process.

The Moon was taken with the Afocal method through a 40 mm eyepiece and my 10 inch Merade SCT.

It makes a better wallpaper for me than the Windows one.

cheers.

Nice! I have the same ideas as you it seems.. I love to take an image then set it as my desktop background for a few days... Just waiting for that perfect close up shot of the moon with the DSLR for a really dramatic one.

Im about to head outside and set up... Time to trial some day time photography of the moon, providing this heavy wind here dies down, maybe even some jupiter/saturn data later this evening..

Hi Alex,
The more I look at the Moon, the more I like it.

I spent an age the other night just doing a tour from the scope memory, which showed landing sites and craters etc.

It holds a fascination for me, that wont go away....

Good luck.
