Gps ?

Hi All

Does anyone have experience with the SkyWatcher GPS for EQ6 mounts. I am thinking of buying one and am curious if they improve pointing/finding objects etc enough to warrant the expense.

Cheers

I am also curious as to if they will help with polar alignment....I suspect the answer is no, but I would be more than happy to be corrected.

GPS won't help with polar alignment...... but drift aligning and K3ccdtools will!

GPS benefits your goto by providing accurate location, but more importantly (in my experience) accurate time! This in turn improves the accuracy of gotos - at least for a CG-5 it does. If your mount keeps accurate time during the initial boot up and alignment sequences, then the benefit of GPS will be minimal, I would suggest...
