Hi Guys,

Had a go with G13, but oops, i think i picked the wrong object. I should have realised how small.

The system is very easy to use. Basically i used up 12 minutes of time including a 10 minute image for my first go. Next time I will pick an object before aquiring the scope. Then the overhead should only be a few seconds for each photo.

So my one criticisism is that for a beginner, i agree with what was posted early on that the thumbnails should be better and at least show the FOV of the selected object in the Sky 90. Otherwise you may have some dissapointed happy snappers.

In any case I will use this to compare my own focus as I have a similar camera and also use focusmax

I am not sure I would pay as I feel a lot more in control and have fun using my equipment rather than pointing and clicking, but thanks Pete it was an enjoyable experience and I will use up the rest of my time and report back on my experiences.

Paul

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the feedback. I try and make reasonable notes on G13 that the thumbnail images do not represent the images that can be taken with G13. This is because I'm working in a limited space and to show the correct field of view in the thumb nail means you won't be able to see what the target it due to the thumb nail being so small. I am considering removing some of the really small target off the list etc.

I agree remote imaging is not for everyone lots of people enjoy the chase and learning curve that comes with imaging on your own hardware, others find it less stress and hassle without having to spend the mega buck on a professional imaging rig.

Kinda like, hiring the DVD instead of buying it. Going to the local swimming pool instead of putting one in your backyard. Hiring a boat for the weekend instead of buy one. Leasing a beach house instead of own one. Renting a sports car for the weekend.

Cheers,
Brad Moore
