SOLD: Telrad (new in box)

Telrad findersope - new in box.

Purchased from Bintel a few months ago to use with my Dob (to help find Messier objects and NGC/IC deep sky objects using star charts). Never fitted/used because I purchased an Argo Navis soon after.

$60 including Aust postage.

Please contact me via PM if interested.
Cheers, Jeff

Product details from Bintel are attached below for reference.

Telrad - $79.00

To see objects through the telescope it must be pointed to exactly the right spot. The TelradŽ is a sight for pointing telescopes to that "right spot".

Through a TelradŽ you can see the sky the way the star charts show it. Not a small upside down and magnified portion of it, but the "real sky" with three lighted target rings set against it.

The large ring is 4 degrees across. It outlines the area covered by the finderscope. The small ring is 1/2 degree across and outlines the area seen in the telescope eyepiece.

Select an object on the chart and note its position among the visible stars. Then set the TelradŽ rings on that spot in the sky. A quick rough setting will put the object in the field of a finderscope.
