G'day folks,
I have had a very good night here in the observatory with a dark sky, a new light pollution filter and a cool 5 degrees celcius in the dome.
Heres 44 minutes at ISO 800 on the Lagoon. Imaged with a Celestron Nexstar 11, focal reducer to F6.3. Guided manually with a ToUCam on a piggybacked ED80.
Cheers, Baz.
I was using an Un-modded 400D and the ALP filter screwed onto the T-adapter. Thats all.
I normally tend to over-saturate the levels in processing ,so this time I tried to keep the colours subtle and more natural looking.
The ALP filter made a huge difference to the duration of sub I can do. Normally the ambient light restricts me to 3 minute subs. Using the filter I got 5 minute subs and could probably go longer. I might have a go tonight.
