Here is a pic I took over the new moon weekend:
William Optics ZS110 refractor on Losmandy GM8 autoguided with PHD
Unmodified Canon 350D
ISO800, 8 x 10 min for a total of 80 min exposure.
Darks and Bias frames used. Gradient removed with GradientXTerminator

Very nice Geoff, it certainly stands out against the starry backdrop and you can see the extensions of the dustlane very clearly.

A fine shot.

This image doesn't seem to need flats as much as the Leo galaxies..? Love that galaxy
