M17 - 20D (M) and ED80

M17 - ED80, Canon 20D (M), WOII FR. 5/5min@ISO800 ICNR. Aligned and stacked in IP, processing in PS (CS2).

A tricky one this one as there is so much gas and dust around it it is not easy to find a piece of clear sky to set the background levels too

Very nice image Paul - highlights the potential of the modded DSLR well.
Do you see a big difference in processing the modded pics?

Thanks guys.

The processing is much the same Doug except for the colour balancing. But I've gone back to the Astrophotographers bible (Photoshop Astronomy) and picked up a few good ideas from there. Nothing too fancy though

Thanks Lester.

Nice depth, I imagine it would look even better in high res.

Nice one, Paul. Doesn't look much like a swan with all that extra nebulosity
Processing looks good!
