Email a Meade dealer here in Australia called Bintel who 'may' have something in their spare parts.

mate I would post the same request on these 2 groups and someone there will have the part or be able to tell you where to get it.

http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/MelbMeadeScopes/

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LX200/

http://www.mapug-astronomy.net/

also there is a guy called Ron Samson who fixes all meade classic telescopes his e-mail is rsampsonus@yahoo.com

last suggestion which is a certain way to get an answer is that there is a guy called DR P. Clay Sherrod his personaly e-mail is drclay@tcworks.net
and his website is

http://www.arksky.org/

All this information will assist you in fixing your problem and any future problems or questions you may have with your classic.

good luck mate.
