Eta Carina with widefield 4.3" APO refractor

Hello everyone,

Here's about my millionth image of Eta C, this time with the wide-field refractor.

Imaging details.
William Optics 110mm f/4.7 Refractor telescope on
observatory mounted Losmandy G-11 equatorial mount with Gemini 4.
Autoguided with SBIG 402 on Orion ST-80 f/5 guidescope with CCDOps.
Central DS Cooled Canon EOS 350D Digital SLR (Houghys).

Exposures 6 x 5-minute exposures @ ISO 400.
Total Exposure time 30-minutes.
Filter/equipment Astronomik 2" CLS filter,
WO 0.8x Field reducer/corrector Mk III.
Processing Darks, bias and flat-fielded with ImagesPlus,
post processing in Photoshop.
Focused with DSLR Focus.

It's hard to get sick of seeing Eta images Paul. That one is a beauty. Is Houghy missing that 350D yet?

For only 30 minutes of exposure, it looks nice to me, Paul. Nice wide FOV.

Indeed, the FOV with this instrument makes Eta a prime target. Nice composition. Keep an eye on the red channel as it appears to be black clipped. This has resulted in heavy weighting of the red limiting the green and blue channels. Look forward to seeing more.

Love how it stands out from the sky background yet none is over exposed or burnt out.
