Tutorials on PixInsight LE

hi guys,

on request of many I have created 2 simple tutorial on 2 procedures I really love to perform in PixInsight LE.

there is one covering
- the creation of an arteficial flat; and one that covers
- background-noise processing with a mask

perhaps you find these useful.

please make sure to scroll down !

Thanks Dietz - i've tried PixInsight a number of times but always found it too difficult to learn. These might help enough for me to give it another try.

Thanks Dietz,
I echo the above comments!
The NR example before/after pics are quite dramatic and worthy of a further look into.
Thanks for the tutorials
Doug

Hi Dietmar,

Thanks for those tutorials - I have not explored their full depth as I am still in 'mono' mode. I was wondering if you have a similar tutorial for LRGB combine using PixInsight LE? I tried using Channel Import as a variant of your tutorial to colour combine - I had mixed results and was not sure if I was doing the right thing....

I know that PixInsight Standard Edition has LRGB, but can the Channel Import be used in the LE edition? Am I just down the wrong track?

I am saving up for Photoshop, but if I don't need it, that would be a blessing....

Thanks.

Alex

thanks Mike, Gary, Doug and Alex.

I shall be happy if that tut serves you well, guys!

Alex, all I use in PixIS LE are these 2 functions. no more. I have no idea how to deal with LRGB in PixIS. I always do this either in Maxim, CCD Stack or PS CS2. sorry.
