Seagull Neb this time with 6 inch and LPR filter

Hi all
made good use of very clear and cold conditions last night. This time tried out a LPR filter Bert kindly sent me along with the 300mm lens. A long session over 3 hours.
17x10 mins ISO 400. LPR and UV/IR filter, Baader MPCC coma corrector. 6 inch Meade Cometracker SN.
Windy conditions, could not use a dew/light shield because of the wind. Very dry though, no dew at all.

Lovely shot Scott. You and Eric are really pushing me to get a modded camera.

That is going deep with the cometcatcher! I dug up an image I made back in 2005 of various filters including the one I sent you Scott. Looks like it is somewhere between an LPR and NEB filter depending on brand.

The spectra below are from the top

Kenko R64
Nebula Filter NBN-PV from Hutech

LPR from Roger at BATSC (now Bintel) now with Scott
LPS-P2 from Hutech
Mercury street lamp
High pressure Sodium street lamp
Tungsten light globe

I wanted a visual way to see exactly what these filters did and how they related to those
light polluting lamps. As you can see High Pressure Sodium is the difficult one.

Again nice deep image of a faint target.

Bert
