Dew Heaters

Am in the market for a dewheater for my 100ED, seeing winter is not to far of.

Anyone else except Bintel sell Kendricks Dewheaters in Australia ???

Had a Google but didn't come up with anythings.

Any advice would be appreciated.

the ones from Astro optical are Ok - as too Myastroshop - have got them from everywhere ranging from 2" through to 12", no genuine kendricks though, the non descript brands work well

Got mine from scopestuff in the US --I know you asked for Oz suppliers but they were very competitive price wise and delivery was cheap and prompt

Got mine from Astro Optical. They work fine, adjustable from cool to very hot. Draws very little power (could tell you if you need to know, I'd have to go out and plug'm in, can't remember the amps they were drawing, something like 1-2 amps).

I use the dewnot strips which I ordered from the US along with a Kendrick controller. Apparently the dewnots draw less current than their competitors. Mine work fine, I have not been defeated by dew yet.

Thank you all for your replies.

Just received an email from Kendricks quoting between $63 and $33 for postage. If I want Kendricks stuff I may as well get them From Bintel.

I found the Thousand Oaks Controller from MyAstroShop to be competitive on price:

I ordered my heater bands from the US - even with shipping they ended up significantly cheaper and they are the Dew-Not brand:
