Closeup on a little known southern dark cloud

After getting home from the footy (Knights won), I went for the deep southern nebula complex, part of which is known as IC 2631, in Chamelion. DEC of -77.
10 x 10 mins ISO200. Full spectrum, that is no filters used at all, so my modded 350D can see any infra red light there as well. I imaged this earlier in the week with my 6 inch SN. Had a strong gradient, and a hazy moist sky to contend with. Its fun imaging little known objects, of which few images in colour exist.

Thanks all.
I could add more data after the moon is gone again.

Certainly not the run of the mill images, but well captured, sort of a cloudy effect, well done indeed.

Nice to see someone pushing the envelope a tad.

Difficult subject with good image scale. Let down a bit by the colour noise (smoothing is apparent)..but despite that, this is good work Scott

Thanks all.
More data under a darker sky would certainly do this nebula complex more justice. I did use Noiseware freeware program as I really had to stretch the levels to pull it from the sky background.
Will be a good visual target for the big dobs at the upcoming SPSP and QLD astrofest camps.
Id also be keen to see other images of it to see what either DSLRs under dark skies or CCD imagers , that can go deeper that I can here in light polluted Newcastle.
I was at Eddie's on Friday night, I soon saw just how bad the light pollution is here, Eddies skies were brilliant, way darker and in fact not much lighter then Lostock skies. I must get my portable rig with 6 inch scope and 300mm lens there next time.

Another unusual object and nicely captured. I'd like to see this through a big scope as well.

Yep very nice. Perhaps a bit heavy on the noise smoothing, but that's just personal preference.
Alsway good to see what "else" is out there. Such depth for 100mins!
Cheers
