NGC2442 Galaxy

Hi Guys,

Took this 2 weeks ago of NGC2442. Not that happy with it as it was a very warm night ambient was 19 degrees but a beautiful galaxy indeed. 9 x 7 Minutes at ISO 400.

Hi Eric,

Fantastic focus as usual. I can see a few other galaxies in there as well.

Lovely colours there too. Any noise is certainly not objectionable.

Really nice image. The arms look like theres some kind of tidal? distortion going on. An unusal object and nice to see some different targets being imaged (says he just having uploaded another M42).

Thanks for your replies guys. Yes the shape of this galaxy is very unusual but very interesting. there are other few faint fuzzies around it too.

I think that galaxy is often refered to as the "Meat Hook" galaxy?

Nice job

Nice sharp image Erick, your spot on focus certainly enhances the fine detail and colours.
