DSLRFocus problem....help!
Hi guys,
I'm having a problem using DLSRFocus with my EOS 10D. I've read thru the instructions and got it connected properly. Everything works smoothly until I try to capture a test image for focussing. When I click the shutter release on the program the shutter opens but won't close, I then get an error messahge that says:
Unable to relase shutter. Check your CF card. Switch camera off and try again. ErrorCode = 0xC000002
Well I've Checked the CF card, and switched the camera off and on again.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Rene, what version of DSLR Focus are you using? Also what lens combination are you using? Are you using a tele-extender?

Hi Rene
Couple of things to check.......
Make sure you have the latest WIA drivers from Canon.
Make sure that you have your Communication set to PC, you may have to check your documentation on how to do that with the 10D.
Is the camera in Manual Mode.
Have you loaded the software that came with the camera.
Cheers

Yes on all counts. Is there anyone out there who has a EOS 10D that can step me through the process?

If you are using a tele-extender that requires electrical contact with a lens then you will experience this problem. If you place some cling wrap over the contacts between camera and tele-converter that should do the trick.

I forgot to mention that I'm using Vista and from what I've read image capture doesn't work. Is there anyone out there successfully using image and focus capture on Vista.
Cheers

Sorry, can't help you with vista, though I do seem to remember that we managed to get a 20Da working on it if we used compatibility mode.

I'm looking at purchasing ImagePlus to replace DSLRFocus. I'm a bit confused though whether I can use it to control a Canon EOS 10D on Vista. Has anyone successfully done this?
