Jupiter this morning, 3rd March

Seeing was good this morning, here's an image from 5.25am, showing Io just coming out of transit.

regards, Bird

Very nice, Anthony.

What altitude would this have been during capture?

It's looking very good for you for in coming months, if this is what you're capturing in early March

Thanks Matt, stellarium tells me it was at 35 degrees altitude. The last image of the morning was taken at about 6.15am, when it had reached 45 degrees.

cheers, Bird

Great image! How do you churn them out so fast? I've got data backing up from days ago!

I really loved the look of Io on the limb this morning.

I'm drowning in data from the last few days - got about 350Gb sitting here waiting for me to get to, including some good saturn data from Saturday night...

I'm bering selective at the moment, just culling through all of them to find the ones that I want to do right now, and archiving the rest for later.

ps There's a much better Jupiter coming...

cheers, Bird

Fantastic Joop Bird. Can't wait to see what's buried in that 350gb.

To cut down on thread pollution I'll be posting all new images into the thread named "Jupiter from Murrumbateman". I'll start a new thread every few weeks to keep it all manageable.
