Mosiac of the Moon

Hi,

I got up at 05:00 yesterday (01/03/2008) and as there was some clear skies so I decided to do a little imaging. I figured I would stick with the Moon as I need to practice focusing (bring on the K20D ).

Anyway, the following is a mosaic of 8 images taken with the ED80 at prime focus and a 3x TV barlow.

Seems the better I focus the darker my images get , oh well I still like it.

Full res here

Enjoy

Hi,

I used the photomerge tool in CS2, it works pretty well but I still had to realign the images to get it right.

Nice image, or should I say images? I like how the moon is dark, I find bright shots of the moon to much on the eyes.

Yeah I am pretty happy with this one, but I do wish that it was brighter.

Did you see Dennis' recent Moon shot? Bright, but man it's good.
