Cant believe the weather report today forecasts THREE more months of clouds !!!

El Nina...I vote we rename this one El Annoya

Oh well...I guess i'll finally have time to redo my sad looking website.

It sure is sad.. (the weather, not your website).

The longest period I've had previously of bad weather was June 2007, when that ripper storm hit the Hunter and Central Coast. It's been terrible here since mid-November and doesn't look like changing any time soon.

I just hope that it clears up soon so I can take advantage of the Mar-Jun excellent seeing that we usually get on the East coast.

cant imagine i'll get to try them out for quite some time!

Three times this week I set up telescope at evening when weather looked reasonably clear. Soon as it got dark the clouds rolled in. I started building solar telescope, but even the sun is most of the times covered by clouds. This is coldest summer I remember in 40 years in Australia. It must be “Global Warming”.

this is why the term climate change is used. ironically one of the possible results of global warming is an ice age (due to slowing of the ocean currents that move heat around).

(yes skeptics, another possible result is 'nothing' )

Hi Frank, our problem is that afternoon easterly that springs up most days and pushes all the cloud in from the coast.

Very frustrating for sure.

Not anymore John...well not for much longer but maybe still for a little while yet
Otherwise, I'll accept SOME of the blame ...having bought some nice gear recently but somebody else must have bought gear 6 months ago that was pretty outstanding!
And given that it is the worst people have seen in 40 years, somebody must have bought some pretty darn nice equipment!
We'll all be expecting some awesome images when this all clears up.
and a "deluge" of images...pardon the pun
