Central Coast March 2008

Sounds like the new Moon is the 9th March 2008, therefore is it fitting that Sat the 8th would be the pony club night. If so I should be there as I would have just commenced a couple of months holiday.

Want to try out new dew shield and heater (both home made).

Hi Andrew, It would be great to see you there with your scope.

I could learn a lot from your experience with your MEADE.

Hope to see ya there with your regular Cuban friends....

I'll pencil it in. New astro toys and lots of rain lately mean I'm itching to get under dark skies.

Andrew, If you bring the Meade I will make sure I get there early enough to help you lift her and set her up if you like.

I will eat lots of weet-bix in the morning to get the energy up for the lift.

Just looking outside tonight and it looks fantastic. Although the Moon will be up and Full fairly early I think.
I am off to Ricks for a bit of observing and maybe a beer......

Anyway, it would be good to see you and your scope there on the Mountain next time.

Geoffro.

Cheers mate, I'll make a special effort to come early & bring her then.
We'll sound like a Brazilian coffee house; grinding away with our scopes throughout the night.

I'll be there with the 16" Lightbridge with G-Star Ex on board - wanna see some REALLY faint stuff?

Is the Pony Club an all night effort or do we have to vacate before dawn?

The " grinding " is a great sound....nothing like it anywhere else....

Just let me know what time you wanna get there and we will organise a set up.

Geoffro.
