A nice compliment

The background picture on my computer at work is a picture of the moon I took using my 4 megapixel canon ixus and my 12" Dob using the tried and tested method of "Click and Pray". The image didn't turn out too bad, hence the reason it's on my computer.
Anyway, some people were visiting work and saw it and said 'Nice picture'.
Brought a smile to my face. They didn't know I took the photo either. Makes me want to go and take some more.

I'm reading everything I can in the hope that one day I'll be taking some like EzyStyles. I love his photos.

Has anyone else had this sort of thing happen to them?

Denis.

my claim to fame in Astrophotography came with Hale-Bopp.... a 2nd hand Pentax K1000 w/a 50mm on a tripod in the wee pre-dawn hours.... Had a nice foreground of pine trees framing the comet and a distant Mountain ridge. Just kept shooting 30sec shots to use up the film in the ever
brightening twilight.... took the film (Stone-age) to a 1hr photo-shop.... when i returned the place was in a buzzz. They were all amazed at the roll of comet shots. One of the last ones was a sky that went from deep purple low on the horizon to ink jet black at the top of the frame.

As for EZY, he's the reason i stopped taking photos! Great images EZY!
