iStar Party

Hi guys!

this is both a heads up and a general query for a likely response.

In the latest Astronomy (Feb 08) the editorial raises the idea of an iStar Party for amateurs to be linked via the Net, to observe online plus chat room.

Would there be any interest?

What do you think the problems may be? They have listed a couple in the editorial so it may be best to check there first.

Interesting concept - so this will be like a live video stream coming from someone's telescope via the net with associated chat via IRC or one of the chat clients (ventrillo/teamspeak etc)?

seems like it, but at this stage they are after feedback on potential users and solutions to any problems which may arise.
