Flocking - De-lint 1st!

Just thought I'd state the obvious and encourage anyone considering flocking their scope to be sure to remove any loose particles with a lint brush or sticky tape BEFORE flocking.

Of course I decided to read the protostar flocking paper's PDF instructions after the job was done.

The result: Clearly better contrast, better images full stop. Oh and black dusty crap on the mirror after 20 mins!

If this saves 1 person from my experience - happy me.

On the positive side, black dusty crap is probably the least worrisome of anything that could be on your mirror

Scott that's the funniest thing I've read all day. Ah the simple life.

True, a splash of distilled water and it's brand new, no biggy.
