M42 second attempt

I had a second attempt at M42 last night, this time with the original Meade RGB filters that came with the DSI. The exposure duration/stack was similar to my first attempt but I like the colour in this version better. I've included the first attempt for comparison.

The colour is much improved

The tracking seems a bit better in your first one though.

A great image

Both have merits, the colorful one seems to show 5 stars in the trap, the lighter colored one has more contrast in the cloud areas..... maybee you could merge them together and see what happens.... both worthy of a look
