Arrow Comet Tempel 1 Star Map

Hi Comet watchers!

I have made up a simple Sky Map for anyone who doesn't have a Sky Chart.

I have made it as simple as possible for anyone to use.

It shows the position of Comet Tempel tonight 2nd July in Pink and the position for Impact on 4th July in Yellow.

Hope this helps you find it easier.

Good stuff, Ken.

My online guide to the impact has been updated with coverage details and a different finder chart from that which appeared in the magazine.

At last, the weather forecast for Sydney for Monday - Wednesday is looking good.

And a reminder - notwithstanding Deep Impact, this year's return is the best of Tempel 1 that we'll see in our lifetime.

Thanks Greg for the further info.

Pity we don't get impact in the dark!

After going outside at 10:00pm the sky was patchy clear but not good enough to view.

From my venture outside I did notice that the easiest way to find the comet is to face West and use the map I have posted here. It is a whole lot easier than the others.
