Token shot of Mars Dec 26th in Red light with Skynyx

Well had to at least try one shot of Mars as a token homage to the red planet. At only 25 degrees high a very tough object.

No filter wheel as yet so attached image is with a red filter, 12.5" f/5, a 5 x Powermate coupled to a 2 x Powermate and a Skynyx 2.0 camera. The camera performed very well under the conditions I felt.

Got rewarded at least with capturing Olympus mons and some other key features and this will possibly by my one and only shot at Mars and still have some more files to play with.

Great image John.

You captured some great detail. Sometimes B & W images are more appealing than colour.
