Ahhhhhhh it is a Gotostar controller on an EQ5 mount.
In fact I and another user in this forum (Mill) have that same system setup.
What you need to do is familiarise yourself with the controller the system. Here is some reading that will help:

(This is the original manufacturer's link. It has firmware and drivers for computer called "Ascom Drivers").

http://www.nightskies.net/Use_Gotostar.pdf
(these explain how to setup and use Gotostar).

(This site has a review of the setup and links to how to use the system)
http://www.eclipsetelescopes.com/gotostar_doc_eng.pdf
(just another link)
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/ideaxuwen/
(this is a forum for Gotostar users. Many question you have have probably been asked here. It is a Good resource).
What you need to 1st do is Polar align your telescope mount and then do an alignment of the Gotostar system to known stars. This is discussed in the "SetSetup_Astro-5.pdf" and "Use_Gotostar.pdf" (see above links).
This aligns your mount with the earth's Polar Axis and calibrates your Gotostar system alignment to known stars. This is so your Mount can Locate and track objects across the sky. Obviously alignment is very important and the whole accuracy of your system depends upon this.
I think it would be best for you to have a good read and see how you go from there.
Please get back when your setup and running or have further questions. We would love to hear about your trials and tribulations.
Also join the "ideaxuwen" tech group forums. Lots of other users all over the world are having or have had problems like yours so it is a good resource of knowledge.
