Nicely done Guys!!
Colors look spot on and nicely processed!
Everyone years ago said these pentax cameras were no good for astroimaging but you have certainly turned that upside down!

That's a fantastic effort Barb and Dave, as is the M42 on your homepage too! In fact the recent images on your page are all very fine indeed - the loops of nebulosity in your Tarantula crop had me drooling!
I can echo the above about the Pentax - well done.
Autoguiding will allow you to push the data from your camera more than ever before.
Cheers
Doug

Thanks so much for the positive feedback everyone we really appreciate it.
We bought the camera in February to try widefields then progressed to prime focus in April then autoguiding in November.
We're pleased that we have been able to get quality images with the Pentax.
Now that we are autoguiding we have been very pleased with the 5 minute exposures.
We have yet to capture more than 5 or 6 subs so from now on we will try 10-15 subs and also longer exposures and see what sort of quality we get pushing the Pentax further.
We hope it encourages other IIS members with Pentax cameras to try DSO Imaging

a well exposed and presented shot, youve proved the tracking and processing is working well, it looks like all deep sky objects are now open for taking, look forward to more.

A beautiful Eta full of detail, perfectly guided, focused and composed.
You've done a wonderful job in processing it, having a very nice histogram.
Congratulations to you both.
Well done

I think the focus was better on this one Andrew because I used a Hartman Mask that I made using Baz's (Bloodhound) specs from his website.
Thanks for the comments by the way

Wow guys, that's excellent!!! And not bad for a Pentax too!

Well done guys!
