M42 1/12/07 in PS CS2

l had a play with shadows/highlights in PS and came up with this, a bit more nebulosity but still unsure on the colour.
any comments on either photo appreciated.

Very nice image image Mick. Well done. Flats would turn this image into something really special. Perhaps your next challenge.

I love the reprocessed pic Mick.
Colours are lovely and composition is great too.
Do you have a shorter exposure to use as a layer mask to pull back the core burnout?

Certainly a lot of nebulosity there Mick. The play with shadow/highlights seemed to work well. Nicely processed
