Talking I Saw The Three Of Em :)

hello everyone


i went out at about 17.00 hrs yesterday (saturday) and had a look(eyes only) west and yup

there they were all 3 of them Mercury, Saturn And Venus as ive got no camera i think i wont forget that sight in a big hurry very cool

did anyone else have a look ? perhaps a picture ?


weather permitting i might give it another go tonite

Yes Vin, a very beautiful sight I had a look Saturday as well and got this photo at 18:14 from somewhere west of Mackay. The cloud has returned today so I'm glad I made the effort yesterday Pollux is the star at the bottom of the tree.

I've been priviledged in being able to see it for the last 3 nights and so far today looks good as well. Took a photo but Mercury & Saturn are only about 1 pixel wide (in an 8mp image) so it's not as I would have liked. I suspect that the old Kodak with less resolution may have done a better job.

Nice shot Phil and Mick, I bet the UFO reports must be poring in all over the world by now LOL arrr there was lights in the sky flying in formation - its war of the worlds aarrr were all doomed heheh

I have been watching for them each clear night this week.

It has been very good to watch them getting closer

I have spotted Venus and Mercury in full daylight in Binocs, but not Saturn.

Nice photos guy's

I saw them while driving off to my aunt's place back here in Malaysia. Currently back home for some family matters. If the skies are clear tonight (not looking good at the moment), I will use the 15x70's.

got them on sunday... had to set the dob up in the street though.. was my first view of SATURN!!! was awesome

Top stuff Lex, the footpath astronomer. Saturn for the first time you will never forget that amazing view I'll bet!
