Hi everyone, in a couple of weeks I will be going to the south Island for a fishing trip. I will be there for about 3 weeks visiting Twizel area, Athol area and Omarama area. Is there any astro stuff worth taking a look at while I am in these areas. I can't find much on the web.

I am in the upper north island so can't help. If you don't get too much back, I will dig a few southern contacts out. I know a few on the east coast, Christchurch etc, but don't know of anyone inland. Mt John would be worth a visit.
Have you posted on NZ Astronomers as well, worth thinking about.

apologies for all the other Kiwis that I am sure frequent this forum. It isn't that they are annoyed at your countries prowess at sport, more they are just a shy bunch, and I am sure they will materialise soon.
