Which Scope

Hi All,

I have an EQ6 mount and a Meade ED80. I have a televue 0.8 reducer but when i use this the result is a bit too wide field for my taste.

This scope will really only be for astro photography as i also have a C11.

Now i really like the idea of getting a televue scope and cant make up my mind between a TV85 or TV102. A TV101 or IS is right out of my price range. Both would be used with a reducer so i would still get F6.8 out of the 102 and about F6 out of the TV85.

I was happy with the meade image scale without the reducer but would like a bit bigger, the TV85 with a reducer would give a bit less image scale as the meade ed80 without and the 102 would give a bit more.

I would like to get both , what do you guys think?

Paul

I'd also be looking at the Tak FS102.

You might also want to consider the StellarVue SV90TBV which is about the same price range as the TV85. It is an F7 90mm fluorite triplet APO with a feathertouch focuser.

I thought FS102's had been superceded?
