Its been "gravity raining"for more than a century.

For those of you who understand the massive implications behind my "gravity does not suck" thing next to my puss..on the left...and all the years I have thought that my ideas were original and rattled on and on here and elsewhere how dumbfounded do you think I was to find on Kenny's kind direction to the works of Le Sage and others when I went off once again about the absence of dark matter in Glen's thread re all the galaxies being found.

I have gone off about string theory coming from the development of a 200 year old formula and to find the idea that gravity pushes was around back in the 1700's.
I feel like an idiot that with all the reading I did over the years I never came across the notion.
It staggers me when reading about LeSage and others that they used so similar terms and explanations.
Ideas must be like jokes..nothing new.

I found it surprising that Newton more or less left the force of gravity to the workings of God and can only think he was not going to buy into an argument with the church ... and when you think of the fact that "space time"avoids any qualification of the force that curves space I wonder if Dr A also stepped aside from the issue...

But what a trip it has been... trying to understand general relativity etc is not easy for me but I keep working on it.

On the bright side if someone had pointed out Le Sage when I first posted my notion years ago I would have left off my hunt so that I would have not learn all I have.

I still believe in the notion of push gravity as I feel the razor treats it better than most..yet how ironic that the idea is so old and I never came across it over the years..

I feel like an idiot for not finding it and having it pointed out.

And I thank Kenny for doing that ..I always thought in my delusional way that I could help take humanity forward and kept at it in the hope some smart young person would develop the idea with the benefit of an education that passed me by...

I always called it a cuckoo idea...

not because it was stupid to me, far from it, but as such but a play on the method that bird uses to raise its young..it places its egg in another's nest and the other bird raises the young cuckoo as if it were its own...presumable the cuckoo realises it would be a poor parent and is inherently lazy... I like to think I am a good parent but always recognised I could not raise my idea as could someone who knew more... and I am certainly lazy..or efficient to be positive.

But what a trip.

Now the history and why Newton and indeed Dr A avoid trying to explain the machinery of gravity and content of more or less leaving the force to the work of God is of interest..so Kenny points me down a new road...just when I thought it had run its course a new door opens...

A first I was confused as to why I could not have found LeSage's work earlier but now think how nice that I am not the only person to have the idea..and that it was first considered centuries ago... but now when I look on the net under "push gravity" I see there are many who think it works this way..

They see a conflict with Dr A's approach and vise versa but I reckon the both fit..one complimenting the other really... all need to sit down and work out their differences rather than the winner take all approach humans always succumb to..

heavy reading but if your are interested in the history and development of the ideas re gravity this is worth a read..it is not supportive of my notions but that is not the point.
