Dunlop 7, a double star

Rodstar suggested I try for Dunlop 7, so here it is. 2 stars identical but for the colour
2x5 mins ISO200, modded 350D, 10 inch f5.6 hand off axis guided. Moon was a nuisance, but for that reason thought its a good time to go for stars rather then nebulae or galaxies

interesting different coloured pair, wonder how often you get that happening.

Scott, I am so thrilled that you took me up on that suggestion! It is such a pretty pair.

Alchemy, there are thousands of colour contrasted doubles to be found, some very clearly contrasting, others more subtle. Sometimes because the difference in colour is subtle it takes a little while to notice, so it pays to take some time at the eyepiece having a really good look. Some nights I just roam the skies looking for them, at other times I work through catalogues of doubles. Argo Navis makes this very easy!
