tarantula

first attempt with modded 300d camera
Mount : Losmandy G11
Imaging Scope: 12 inch Newtonian F5
Guide Scope: ED 80 and DMK 21AF04.AS Camera
Camera : Canon 300 d modded
Guiding: PHD 1 sec Update 2x sidereal
Exposures: 5 @ 300 sec

had more exposures but light affected the sky at 10 past 4 in the morning can you believe it !!.

it has captured th Halpha i could not get previously, ive probably butchered the processing , but youll never learn if you dont try.

have included the stacked unprocessed version for comparison.

great shot Al. can difinitely see the two differences with the modded and without. The modded looks slightly sharper but then again, processing method can never be identical esp from two different cameras.

keep em coming.

Yes I can believe how it gets light.

But you bagged it and made a great job of it... you must be very happy with the result as well you should..

I like the 2nd one!

You have captured it nicely

Heaps better than my effort last night. Mine is so bad that I didn't post it with my other images. I just purely didn't like it.
